Anchor Text / Keyword: Text associated with the URL in the hyperlink. This is the text that is often highlighted and/or underlined in the post.
SEO: Search Engine Optimization, or maximizing a websites potential to be ranked high in search results of search engines. Quality links from external sources back to the website are a factor in increasing SEO.
Page Rank: A measure of an individual website that factors in the number and quality of links pointing in to that site.
Alexa: Alexa's traffic rank is calculated based on the last three months of data collected from Alexa Toolbar users. Your score is a combination of page views and "reach."
PayPerPost Tack Ranking: After you take an opportunity and write about it on your blog, advertisers can read what you've written and score your post on a scale from 1 to 5 tacks (5 being the best). Advertisers also have the option of banning you from taking any further opportunities from them, which will affect your tack rating in a negative way. The best way to maintain a good tack rating is to always write clearly with good grammar and follow the requirements laid out in the opportunity description. Your final tack rating will be an average of all the scores advertisers have given your posts.

Opportunities and Advertiser Requirements
Why are some Opportunities highlighted?
When you view the Open Opportunities in your Blogger account, you will notice some Opportunities are highlighted. Below are the meanings of those highlights:
- Green: Advertiser requested their Opportunity be highlighted. You notice those first, huh?
- Grey: While this Opportunity has not been completely filled by submitted posts, the available spots have been reserved by other Bloggers. During reservation, those Bloggers may complete and submit their posts, or they may decide to not submit. Some posts on this Opportunity may open again. If that happens, the Opportunity will no longer be highlighted in grey.
- Red: These opportunities are not available to you based on segmentation requirements. If you click on the Opportunity, you will receive a pop up box that shows the requirements. One or more items do not match your blog, check the rankings and categories being requested.
When are Opportunities released?
Opportunities may be released around the clock, 7 days / week.
How do I submit a post for a Marketplace Opportunity I like?
If you qualify for an Opportunity, you will be able to click on it and see the full details. You will select the ‘Take this Opportunity’ button in the Opportunity’s description page. The page will extend to include fields for your post details. Once you have written your post, you must complete the information in the extended Opportunity page and now select the Take this Opportunity button at the bottom of that page.
How much time do I have to write my post?
Once you have selected Take this Opportunity, you have 6 hours to complete the requirements as listed in the Opportunity and submit the post via PayPerPost. It is best to begin research and work on the post as soon as you have decided to accept the Opportunity.
How long before my post is reviewed?
Our goal is to review posts within 48-72 hours. During high traffic times, the review process may take longer, and we apologize for the delays. We are putting measures into place to cut down on review time.
Can I accept the same Opportunity if I have multiple blogs?
At this time, no you may not accept the same Opportunity multiple times. You may select each Opportunity once as a Blogger. Please be sure to select the most appropriate of your approved blogs for the specific Opportunity.
When do I get paid for an approved post?
Once your post is approved, our system sends it back to the Review team for a second round check 30 days after the original submit date. If the post is still live, and unchanged, it will be approved again and you will receive payment via PayPal.
The rejection note provided by the Reviewer should explain this. If not, please contact Customer Love. You may also find the general requirements for posts in our Terms of Service.
What if I do not agree with a rejection of a blog or post?
It’s best to start a ticket to the Customer Love Team. Please include the post or blog in question along with the full rejection notice you received.
How do I resubmit a rejected post?
Next to the rejection note from the Reviewer, there will be an option to Edit Post. Select that link after you have made the needed changes, and select Save Changes. This will send it back to our queue for another Review. You have 3 days to resubmit the corrections. It is best to resubmit as soon as possible.
PPP Tools
I’ve added the code for a badge to my blog, why does my account still show it’s not yet added?
It can take up to two days for your PPP account to reflect the addition of the badge’s code to your blog.
When do I get paid for others who sign up through my Referral Badge?
Once the referred Blogger has submitted a post, post is approved, and finally post is paid to them; you will receive a payment of $15.00!
When do I get paid for the Review My Post program?
Once the Blogger has selected Review My Post from your blog, they must then submit a valid blog. After that, they must complete a post for the Review My Post Opportunity created just for them, submit the post, and have the post approved. When that approved post is paid to them, you will also receive $7.50!
When do I get paid for the Sign Up Forms program?
If a Blogger uses this form to join PayPerPost, you will receive payment once the Blogger has submitted a post to a Marketplace Opportunity, had the post approved and then paid. If an Advertiser uses this form to join PayPerPost, you will receive payment once the Advertiser makes his/her first deposit.
Bans and Benches
Ban: Any Advertiser may ban any Blogger and vice versa. At this time, a ban on a Blogger’s account counts as a (-)0.25 Tack Ranking. Anyone creating a ban is encouraged to leave a note regarding the reason for that ban. An Advertiser banning a Blogger keeps the Blogger from seeing future Opportunities from that Advertiser. Bans may be removed at the discretion of the user who initiated the ban. While bans may be issued for any reason, they are often created because an Advertiser feels the Blogger being banned is not a good match to the Advertiser’s goals within PayPerPost.
Bench: Any Advertiser may bench any Blogger and vice versa. Benches may be 30, 60 or 90 days in length. Benches may be removed at the discretion of the user who initiated the bench. While benches may be issued for any reason, Advertisers often bench Bloggers to help ensure their Opportunities are reaching the broadest possible Blogger audience.
How can I check if I’ve been Banned or Benched?
In the ‘my blogs’ section of your PPP account, select the button ‘view bans and benches’ toward the bottom. This brings you to a summary of the bans and benches you have sent and received.
What if I disagree with a Ban or Bench?
Contact Customer Love via Ticket. Customer Love will research the issue, and either provide you feedback, contact the Advertiser, or both. Please remember, it is the Advertiser’s choice to remove or continue the ban or bench.
Why would I Ban or Bench an Advertiser?
Bloggers may also find Advertisers who are not a good fit to their blogs, opinions, beliefs or interests. Once you ban the Advertiser, you no longer see the Opportunities they submit. Perhaps you have seen a certain topic in Opportunities that you’d like to avoid for a while. You would then select to bench the Advertiser.
Can Bans and Benches be removed?
Yes, but only by the Blogger or Advertiser issuing the ban or bench.
